The Transportation Improvement Program sets the schedule for improvements to the region’s transportation systems.

This short-term plan highlights which major transportation projects are currently underway and which projects are planned over the next four years. Federal and state funds are assigned to specific projects for all modes of transportation. Each project within the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is regionally significant and has been identified, prioritized, and funded because it meets the regional goals and vision of the Grand Valley Regional Transportation Plan

Even though the document is updated on an annual basis and amended throughout the year, the community, local planning partners, and policy-makers are encouraged to review the projects and provide feedback on a regular basis.

The TIP encompasses projects only within the Grand Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) boundary which covers a majority of the urban areas of Mesa County; including Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, and the urban portions of unincorporated Mesa County.
